Ethan Casson recently completed his seventh season as Chief Executive Officer for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Minnesota Lynx, the Iowa Wolves, and T-Wolves Gaming. As CEO, Casson oversees all business operations, working closely
with ownership and the executive team on setting the organization’s strategic vision.

In March 2023 he was selected as one of Sports Business Journal’s “ALL IN: Leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” In the summer of 2022, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal named Casson a Most Admired CEO. Casson was recognized for his work in advancing social justice and equity in the community and the success the team achieved both on and off the court the previous year. In the spring of 2021, Casson spearheaded the negotiation and deal terms related to the sale of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx by Glen Taylor to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez.

Prior to his current role, Casson spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, serving as the team’s Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he spearheaded the organization’s effort in securing a 20-year, $220 million naming rights partnership with Levi Strauss & Co., one of the largest naming rights deals in NFL history.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Timberwolves and Lynx Fastbreak Foundation, the Executive Board of Minnesota Sports and Events, the Advisory Board for Positive Coaching Alliance, the Board of Directors for YouthLink and is a member of the Minnesota Business Partnership. Casson also serves on the NBA’s Team Advisory Committee.

Casson and his wife, Lisa, reside in Minneapolis with their son, Lucas.
