US-based company Topgolf has announced that it will open its first venue in the UAE in 2019, at Emirates Golf Club.

Topgolf aims to attract golfers and non-golfers alike to play; point-scoring games, food and music are designed to make the sport more accessible to the masses.

The three-level, 60,000 square-foot venue at Emirates Golf Club will host year-round programming including social leagues, tournaments, golf instruction and events for kids.

Dubai Golf will manage the venue on a day-to-day basis.

“We are focused on expanding the reach of golf within the region, and Topgolf will bring an exciting and unique new way of enjoying the game to the residents and visitors of Dubai,” Dubai Golf CEO Christopher May said.
