Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai FC have revealed their new main sponsor as development company Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One.

The UAE Pro-League football club will be sponsored by District One for the rest of the 2018-19 season as part of an agreement with the company.

District One is a major residential development in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City in Dubai and is overseen by the Meydan City Corporation.

Meydan City Corporation’s chairman, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, explained that the new agreement forms part of the company’s social responsibility programme.

“We are very happy to sign this agreement with one of the most successful clubs in the country,” he said.

“We wish the club all the best in their future endeavours and hope they add more achievements to their impressive record.”

Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai’s Khalifa Sulaiman thanked District One for its sponsorship and support of sport in Dubai.

He said: “We are lucky to have wise leadership, who are always keen to provide all the needs for the success and excellence of our sport, through the direct support provided by the government, or by strategic partnerships linking clubs and sports institutions with national companies.”
