Sports broadcasting heavyweight ESPN has signed the Choueiri Group’s digital arm, DMS, as its exclusive media representative in the MENA region.
ESPN has stepped up its interest in MENA in recent years, with digital platforms such as ESPN.com and ESPNCricinfo.com attracting significant viewership from the region.
ESPNCricinfo has been one of the company’s biggest success stories in recent years and during the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, more than five million visitors from the GCC came to the website.
Now DMS, the branch of the Choueiri Group that focuses on digital products, has been tasked with further monetising ESPN’s portfolio in the region.
