Nakheel’s latest sports and hospitality venture, the Al Furjan Club, has opened for business – offering local residents a hub for community fitness.
The Al Furjan community is projected to have a population of more than 65,000 when complete but for now has 5,000 residents.
The new Nakheel club feature a 25-metre pool, children’s pool, sports court and fully-equipped gym with four fitness studios.
It follows in the footsteps of sister venues at Jebel Ali, Jumeirah Islands and Masakin Al Furjan, with further developments planned at Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village, Warsan Village and Nad Al Sheba.
Part of Nakheel’s Dhs5 billion investment in hospitality and leisure expansion, Nakheel Hospitality managing director Thorsten Ries is delighted with the latest opening.
He said: “We are proud to add Al Furjan to our expanding collection of community clubs, which have become an integral element of our developments across Dubai.
“Al Furjan Club bears all the hallmarks of our establishments: a convenient location, quality casual family dining and the best in health and fitness amenities.
“We expect this new venue to be highly popular with members and guests, who now have a new destination for eating, relaxing, socialising and keeping in shape at this popular, fast-growing community.”
