Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has agreed a deal with US publishers Bonnier Corporation to host the Sand Sports Super Show Middle East in Abu Dhabi in 2020.

ADNEC group CEO Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri penned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was with Bonnier senior vice president Jonathan Moore, at the recent Sand Sports Super Show in California.

Al Dhaheri said: “We are pleased to sign this agreement to attract one of the world’s leading sand sports events, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East. The inaugural event will be launched in Abu Dhabi by 2020.

“The MoU underscores ADNEC’s strong capability to provide the ideal venues that attract global events and exhibitions from various sectors.

“These activities contribute to meeting the objectives set by Abu Dhabi Plan and its Economic Vision 2030 to further enhance the Emirate’s global prominence as a leading destination for international exhibitions and conferences in the Middle East and North Africa region.”

Moore added: “We are delighted to sign a cooperative agreement with Adnec, which will host our inaugural event in the region, the Sand Sports Super Show Middle East in 2020.”
